Storm Complete Phase II of 2020 USHL Draft

May 6, 2020 - Kearney, NE. - The Tri-City Storm has completed the second and final phase of the 2020 USHL Draft by making twenty-one selections in the twenty-four-round draft. Tri-City selected fourteen forwards, five defenseman, and two goaltenders in Tuesday's draft. The Storm traded up to obtain the second overall pick in the opening round of the draft and used the pick to select forward Hunter Strand. Storm Complete Phase I of 2020 USHL Draft

May 4, 2020 - Kearney, NE. - The Tri-City Storm has completed Phase I of the 2020 USHL Draft by making eight selections in then ten round draft. The Storm selected four forwards, three defenseman, and one goaltender. The Phase I Draft, formerly known as the "Futures Draft", is open to 2004 birth year players only. Phase II of the USHL Draft is open to players of all ages eligible to play junior hockey and who are not currently protected by another USHL team. The 2020 USHL Phase I Draft begins today at 3:00pm CT and the 2020 USHL Phase II Draft begins tomorrow at 1:00pm CT. The Storm have acquired goaltender Grant Riley and a 2021 Phase II 2nd Round draft pick from the Madison Capitols in exchange for Affiliate List Defenseman Nick Wallace and Affiliate List Forward Casey Severo.
